The quickest way is inside the app
- Open Hidloo.
- Tap Your standing on the home screen.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account and data.
- Tick the box and confirm.
It happens immediately. There is no waiting period and nothing to email.
If you no longer have the app
Write to support@hidloo.app from the email address you signed in with, or use the contact form. If you played as a guest, include the player name you used — that is the only thing we could match you by.
Request deletion by emailRequests are completed within 30 days, usually within two working days.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account and sign-in | Deleted immediately |
| Your nickname | Deleted immediately |
| Points, rank and badges | Deleted immediately |
| Streaks | Deleted immediately, for both people in the pair |
| Challenges you made, and the photographs in them | Deleted immediately |
| Notification token | Deleted immediately |
| Rounds you played on somebody else's challenge | Kept, with your name and identifier removed. That record is also the other player's history of their own game. |
Playing as a guest? There is no account to delete. Everything identifying a guest is a random identifier stored on your own device, and the same option in the app clears it. Challenges you already made expire by themselves within 30 days.
What we keep, and why
- Nothing for marketing. There is no mailing list to be removed from, because there was never one to join.
- Purchase records stay with Apple, Google and RevenueCat, who are required to keep them for tax and refund purposes. We cannot delete those and neither can they. They hold no name or email from us.
- Server logs may hold an IP address for up to 30 days as part of ordinary abuse protection, after which they roll off by themselves.
Everything else is gone. See the privacy policy for what was collected in the first place.
